Presenting Marketing Reports

Once you’ve designed a killer website or app that you believe meets your goals, it’s important to keep an eye on the stats to make sure you are indeed meeting your objectives. And if you’re part of a team/company/organization, other people probably want to see these stats as well. So you’ll need to find a way to pull the information, analyze the analytics, and explain everything to the team in a quality marketing report.

Sound overwhelming? We hear you! Vicki Lesage, one of our digital marketing strategists, shares some tips for presenting marketing reports over on the DashThis blog. Such as this tip:

“Try to use visuals such as pie charts and trend graphs wherever relevant. Some marketing metrics can only be displayed in list format (e.g. the top 20 URLs driving traffic to your site), but as long as you make the rest of the data as visual as possible, your report will feel easier to digest on first glance.”
Basically, when setting up a report, you’ll want to be sure you:

  • Understand your audience
  • Identify your goals
  • Know your data
